Joanna R. Joplin
Joanna R. Joplin is a Partner with Joplin Hendricks. Joanna was reared in McKinney, Texas, and she is a fifth generation Collin County native. She has experience handling a variety of matters including foreclosures, real estate banking transactions, purchase and sale of commercial and residential real estate, landlord/tenant issues, business formation, as well as estate planning, probate and guardianship matters.
Prior Work Experience
She previously worked as a real estate and transactional practice associate with the firm Abernathy, Roeder, Boyd & Joplin, P.C. in McKinney. Before returning to Texas, Joanna worked in New York City as a labor and employment associate with the firm Seyfarth Shaw, LP, and prior to that as a general litigation associate with the international firm Clifford Chance LLP.

Joanna received her Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in Italian and American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and her Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Tulane Law School. While at Tulane, Joanna spent her summers working in Italy as a summer associate for law firms located in Bologna and Milan. She served as Senior Articles Editor for the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law.
Joanna is an active member of the Preston Road Church of Christ, the Collin County and Texas Bar Associations, and is a volunteer advocate for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
